Unexpected true history from the Babylon Bee. Romans loved their pork and it was often a flash point with Jews in the day. Christians pretty quickly realized that they couldn't be a catholic religion while excluding pig-eaters, and Paul had a dream specifically on this topic. The theology is pretty credible though -- no human can be fully justified to God by following the Law, so maybe the finer points of the Law no longer apply having been fulfilled in Jesus (and in fact were never intended to apply to gentiles). Justification comes through faith and redemption, not rule-following, so welcome Romans into our church!
Though Roman inheritance law was also very important in the growth of the church.
