While waiting for my appointment today, one of the other people was complaining about a cow-orker who got promoted after stealing the credit for her (the one I was talkin to's) work. Taken by a poetic whim, I said "Just give it some time. A swan with plucked wings can still swim, but even dressed up in feathers a sow will never fly."
She stared for a good five or ten seconds before laughing and agreeing that I was absolutely right.
