3. I really, really, really wanna do Gundam Stuff, but what is accepted in UF’s world almost seems to strain against that. Robotech was one of the main foundational work, when that was localized and most of Gundam wasn’t, and then more of that world’s space battles are with Wars / Trek style big ships and starfighters, with Destroids being more Battletech mechs than they are Mobile Suits, and THEN no shortage of Super Robots ‘cause I guess Gryph is a big steampunk / art deco-y vibes fan and Big O / Giant Robo tickled him pink? Well, bully for me, I have to bend over backwards to justify yanking Titans Mobile Suits (ex-Earthforce weirdos!) and a Gundam Unicorn-style hardsuit (hero tech) for the setting.

Well, Gundam did appear. Corwin pilots a Zaku at one point.

It's from Symphony 3, the story is called Arena and he's fighting on a TV show and up against G-Gundam's Domon Kasshu where the Gundams for that series are mech dueling gimmick builds.

The One Year War did take place, roughly around 2100.

“I just can’t believe it!” crowed Haywire, WDF fighter ace and ‘Mobile Fighter G-Gundam’ color commentator. “The Mysterious Challenger’s driving a ZAKU?! Man, I remember the One-Year War. What a friggin’ slaughter! The Zeons had like four good pilots and the only decent equipment they had was this one Super Valkyrie they stole from a repair depot. And their UNIFORMS! You shoulda seen the - what? OK, OK, jeez, just trying to give a little background information. Anyway, it looks like our Mobile Fighter Champion isn’t gonna have much trouble with - WHOA! What the F*** was THAT?”

So you could absolutely have some survivors of the war using Titan mobile suits they built up in a war over some world Zeon retreated to or the like.
