Another Bit Of Early Text

I have to admit, it would have been lots of fun to write. And would you believe, the climactic scene was still the same one that I just finished? Yet the path to get there would have been very, very different -- no Lisa, for one thing. She was a sort of accidental addition to the story, and her role within it kept evolving even as I started releasing completed chapters. Can you imagine what the story would have been like without her? I can't really, not any more.
