That first Stellvia image has been bugging me. The Wheel 'O Tanks is a pretty hideous kludge CG-wise, and I know I can do better than that. Which brings us to Stellvia model #2:

The tanks aren't overlapping here, instead I've put in an elbow joint to connect each one (though the joint probably ought to cover the entire forward cone... thoughts for model #3, no doubt) the "spokes" are a bit wider, and the central core module is a little taller & not quite as wide compared to the rest of the structure.
