Rob, I always felt that the (over)reaction by the US Government was less due to vast ... tracts of land heading into space than it was to the combination of the size and the proximity to Washington DC possessed by the Corners at the time of its launch.
But the very fact that we have a couple different terms for the concept in the lexicon does imply that there almost certainly are more than three instances. And therre are plenty of variations to explore to keep the idea fresh. What about someone who just waves his house by itself, and takes that into space, for example?
