Arc 60866: Do You Have Previous Experience?

#6
...Smasher is bouncable? My brute has three knockdown/knockback powers. I was using two of them on her - they are part of my attack chain, while the third (Lightning Clap) is for utility. I never used Lightning Clap, but I didn't seem to notice any bouncy bouncy with my two damage KD powers in play. I could swear she never fell down.
But I may be out of my tree. I'll try again later.
As for file size - the main issue there is almost always custom critters. You have what - four minion types, four lieutenants, four EB/AVs? Twelve customs total? Yeah, that's pushing it. It might be possible to condense things slightly and have only two minions, two lieuts ... use, I dunno, Striker and Smasher as minions, Sapper and Slasher as lieuts, and...I dunno what as bosses. But you see what I'm getting at here.
Mind bosses won't show up while a player is solo, typically...
Maybe make four boss types, but to make sure they're used even while solo? That brings you up to the current custom count you have now. Throw another four non-required boss objectives in, and use the boss-grade models. Eight boss fight objectives on a big map should be doable, and also give more opportunities for dialogue.
Making the character bios be combat evaluations as per Mason seems a great idea to me.
EDIT: I dunno if Striker fired her tier 9 or not. I presume Elude was not used; as I said I fired two yellows and beat her before they wore off.
EDIT 2: With regards to ending ambiguity - yes, I liked that. I really liked that.
Personally, my mental image goes something like this... Battery Acid smiling and nodding to Mason. Before pointing out that she took the time to carefully tag each deactivated shell. And it should be pretty clear which ones the important four are, anyway - c'mon, don't you guys trace components? Sure, the remains are pretty scorched and smashed, but there should be ENOUGH bits with identifiable serial numbers.
She wouldn't, though, say anything about the canvas shopping bag she rather casually carried out when she left the lab. A large-ish bag, just about big enough to hold four adult human heads and a few extra bits. Nope. Wouldn't know anything about that...nope, not at all, mm-hm.
