Umm... no, we're not going to cause a dramatic reversal right now.
But you know, if we slow the rate at which we're causing global warming, perhaps the Antarctic ice cap won't fall off for a few more decades (instead of a few more years), giving people more time to do more to halt the problem.
You can bear this in mind as especially important since it will also help preverse large chunks of the ecosystem that are currently collapsing. (I hope you like jellyfish - your kids will be eating a lot of it! ;p)
