Poser does have limitations; most of which can be overcome with the application of time.
Lots of time.
I know some artists who will labour for hours and hours on a single render, comprising multiple layers with multiple lightsources and then further post work.
I have done renders like this. They have their place.
This project is not one of them.
I try and balance storytelling, graphics and time.
One of the other issues is that there is far more limited support for the male figures under poser; both in free and commercial resources. This means that for
the male cast I have to expend a lot more time in creating/modifying elements. Right now I am building my wish list for the next issue which will be set in
Steel Canyon. I want Outcasts, Trolls, and possibly Council.
Plus I need to build models for more Legendary cast members; which is going to be the hardest part. COH allows great costume detailing, but some of those
costumes are very hard to replicate in Poser. I want to do Space Mage at some point, but her big hand cannons are tough. Right now the models on the drawing
board are
Bella Fuego (Hot Librarian costume and Classic costume)
Morgan MacHine
Superball
Numero Catorche (I need a straight man, and it is his turn - Sorry Wide)
Emerald Blast
Shizuru (I would like to say it is a straight role...)
I also have to convert the flat screen shots I have been using to a true 3d environment, so I don't have to worry as much about scaling.
