Nene grumbled as she leaned forward. "Priss, the last three were just fine. What exactly are you looking for anyway?"
"I'll know when I find it," Priss noted. "Honestly, if Ann weren't such an awesome lead guitarist, a few of them might've gotten her
slot if they'd been here earlier. But it's the bass. It doesn't handle like a basic guitar. I'll know when we find the right one."
"I hope so," Linna noted, leaning back in her chair. "I'm getting hungry, and may eat the instruments if you take too much longer."
"That's my line," Nene noted.
"Learned from the best," Linna shot back with a weak grin.

"And you doubted me," Priss noted smugly as the latest applicant strutted her stuff on stage.
"Yes, truly you are right at all times, oh goddess of music and rock," Nene deadpanned. "Pure luck."
"At least she's good, assuming she passes the interview portion," Linna chuckled.
The brunette bassist came off stage shortly, as Priss struck up the conversation like usual. "So, why'd you try out?" she asked eventually.
"Well, I was in band back in high school, and our old group briefly had a sub in lead vocalist and guitarist for one of our first shows....she was amazing
and ever since the band broke up after we all went our seperate ways after high school, I've been looking for a band led by someone as dedicated to their
music as she was," Mai replied. "I got good vibes off this one, so..."
"Sounds like as good a reason as any, and better than most," Linna said, nodding in approval.
"Agreed," Priss said, nodding back. "Incidentally, what was your old band?" she asked out of curiousity.
Mai shrugged. "Small time gig, so you probably haven't heard of it...."

Mai grinned at the crowd as she ran through a quick solo in response to the cheers.
