Am I the only one finding JBern's stuff to be progressively harder to read? I don't find myself enjoying his chapters, since at the end I'm mostly just pissed off.
I find that my reaction to the story is similar to my reaction to The Order of the Phoenix. The main character stews in anger and frustration as he is wrongfully persecuted by society and unable to effectively respond. The fact that I can empathise enough with a fictional character that I have a sympathetic emotional reaction tells me that it is a well written story, even if the emotions that are evoked are unpleasant.
