Usually type AB in anime means that the character has two personalities. Yukito has two, Hotaru had two (or Nine, depending on how you look at it). Hino-san on the other hand -- she's as straight an arrow as they come.

Hino-san is caught between two lives outside of being a senshi that she will need to choose from, because she can't be both: either pursue a career as a pop music idol and/or actress, or remain and fulfill her duty and obligations to her grandfather and the shrine.
We see this in the anime, too. Rei is all responsibility most of the time. But throw something her way like Mamoru's latest addition to his wardrobe, and suddenly she's a fangirl.
