Here's a list that we didn't compile (at least, on the forums) before the retcon started.

All The Tropes has something called One Steve Limit, which explains why any given work almost never has two (or more) characters with the same name. Since the Metacontinuity pulls characters in from multiple works, this rule is quite thoroughly broken repeatedly:
