Ho, Macross 7, huh? Actually my favourite of the series, since it's pretty much Mylene's story despite Basara starring in the credits and stealing her thunder for the finale, and after doing the "mentor figure leaves/dies/etc. mid-series leaving the rookie to take the lead" thing too. The Varauta mecha are some of my favourite designs, also. By my admittedly very vague memories of earlier instalments, Mike does have some kind of woo-woo powers going on, right? It'll be interesting to see if/how they register on SES equipment.
