[ORIGIN STORY]Gina and The Bullet Boy Express
Re: [ORIGIN STORY]Gina and The Bullet Boy Express

Oh, okay then. Coil guns behind the headlights a la James Bond (his cars always has missiles behind the headlights or something).
This system would be a collapsable unit. You don't see it there until the headlights are withdrawn and the familiar sight of a segmented coil gun barrel telescopes out. This one will hurl soda can sized projectiles.
The mussel velocity on these little monsters will be even more alarming than that of most other coil-guns out there because the capacitors will be handwaviumized to draw from the 1.21 gigawatt powersource. I don't think that handwaviumizing some capacitors to handle that will be too dificult, espcially if you already have them installed at the time you apply the handwavium.
Amunition will be highly limited, too. We'd be talking about three, maybe four shots per gun. Where as most coilguns will be able to pull off rapid fire volleys (this is an assumption on my part), this one will focus on that one clean pin-point shot that will get you the most bang for your buck.
Actual fire control will be handled by Gina while Ben's doing the flying. After all, of the two of them she'd be better able to tell when to pull the trigger, and, as mentioned before, amunition is very limited.
Okay, so any quibles with that? ^_^
