Thanks. I've written up quite a bit of tech for various (table top) RPGs, and I think it is the annoying limits that make for a more interesting story, and character possibilities. You have to go a long way to get to almost flawless tech, and even that, if you have got some idea how it works, may have things you can exploit.

I've been at SF cons where Killer is played in the hotel corridors, and usually the players respect non-players. Con security has got pretty strict about weapons, these days, which I guess is understandable. If someone asks a sword to be waved around to make a good photo, and you hit someone on the backswing... You have to be pretty strict if handwavium is known to be about, even if you suspect it can only make non-lethal weapons.

Some UK SF cons don't have the entire hotel, either, so you need to think about Mundanes. "Don't Freak The Norms."
BTW, exactly which are the "Deadly Weapons" in this story is deliberately unclear. [grin]
