For those that don't read Young Wizards by Diane Duane, Machu Pichu is a persnickety and grouchy rainbow macaw who's got a thing for reading the future with remarkable accuracy.

However, there's a reason for this:

Peach is actually one of the Big Name Powers - specifically, she's the Sister to the Lone Power (who is the series Big Bad who invented entropy).  And she's been slumming it as a parrot for quite a while now.  The only time she's ever opted to leave the reservation to go out on a mission...  Well, let's just say that things got uncomfortably close to ending the entire Universe.
