Mmmm... I think it would work better with Applejack as Linna and Dash as Priss - Twi just isn't the right personallity type there. She'd be a cracking Dr. Raven, though, and Spike as Mackie. Pinkie Pie just acts as herself, thereby making the bubblegum at least 20% pinkier.
Well, that, or she's the Madigan to Discord's Quincy. And Big Mac is Leon, of course.

Hmm personally I'd say it would work better with Rarity as Nene since they track fairly well if you substitute Rarity's obsession with fashion with an obsession with computers.
Definitely Dash as Priss, and Applejack as Linna. Truthfully no one fits spectacularly as Sylia but Twilight would actually make an adequate fit, and the brother/sister connection with Spike would track across to damn well not to do it.
Pinkie Pie is a toughie, I'd be inclined to have her as either Vision (Technically both left a family business they didn't like in order to make other people happy...) Or appearing as a Host of the Minor characters in silly disguises.

I figured it that Mackie pervs on Sylia, but sees the Doc as a mentor, which would fit Spike, or at least in another few years. Pinkie, really her random Pinkieness is best served by being inserted directly rather than trying to fit her into a BGC role. I think FLuttershy actually does pretty well as Nene - dealing with a sticky-wicket network is just as troublesome as Angel, and The Stare has a close cognate in hacking opposition computers to make them behave for her.
The real question in my mind is who to cast in the bad guy roles... honestly, none of the Equestrian antagonists are bloodthirsty or just ruthless enough to be Mason or Quincy... Trixie could maybe do Yoshida, but even that's kind of a stretch. Genre clash is extreme on this one.

More are apparently out there, I'm almost tempted to mod some actual GW horse cav into realistic unicorns & what not. Some one's planning on doing the mane 6 as humans....in power armour. Heh, I'll stick to trying to paint some Sisters Of Battle up as mikos.

As an aside, I've been chewing on some FO:E 'fic, and I'm building it from the bones up this time (which should help prevent the two-chapter drop-dead effect). Anyone interested in bouncing some ideas? I'm hunting some more folks for the Tribal village, and a command structure for the Egghead faction, as well as a young academic peer group. I've got a few characters built already I can share, but I'm looking for a few more.
