 Lyrics:

 These landscapes of beauty

Hold more than meets the eye

 Darkness comes early

And the night controls the mind

 Look into the future

 Gaze into the crystal ball

 Release all your sorrows

 Let the new beginning dawn

 I've been waiting for you

 Down by the shoreline

 Towards the shadows we walk

 Without fear in our hearts

Can you feel the hunger of the chosen one

Growing stronger out on the run chosen one

 The snow keeps on falling

Inside a cold and darkened world

 And no sight of daylight

Makes this place on earth feel cursed

 Get out of your nightmare

Find a reason to go on

 Just wait for tomorrow

You'll see a new beginning dawn

 I've been searching for you

 Over the rainbow

Up from the ashes we rise

Just to face a better day

Can you feel the hunger of the chosen one

Growing stronger out on the run

Can you feel the power of the chosen one

Take you higher, touch the sun

I picture Doug arriving just in time for Laserbeak to have left and miss him, and be loaded onto the special run to Earth still unconscious, after some minimal explanations from his bike's AI... He'd probably just wake up in time to be really confused about the battle for Autobot City, and swept up in things from there. I heard a song that could be his gate out earlier this evening, but can't remember it now...

So, how do you think he'd fare against thirty-foot robots?

I'm reasonably sure Doug's bike doesn't have an AI. Perhaps you meant Eimi, the Girl in the Laptop?

That's the one! Though I thought she could be docked to the bike to control it during the inevitable post-portal blackout...

The bike's had an autopilot since DW II... although I suppose Eimi could fly it if she was able to take the controls. (Drive, maybe not. Fly, maybe. Although who knows what skills she's picked up in a couple of centuries...)--

Well, I'm sure she could find time to play around with flight simulator programs (suitably customized to cover a flying motorcycle)___________________________

Since all I know about Transformers I got from UF, the animated movie, and the first live-action film, I really don't know enough to comment about your scenario for his arrival. Quote:So, how do you think he'd fare against thirty-foot robots?
Why don't you wait until I finish the Evangelion Step for an answer to that? Quote:The bike's had an autopilot since DW II
And it's not really an AI, just an expert system, more or less. Quote:although I suppose Eimi could fly it if she was able to take the controls.
Huh. I never thought of that. I'll have to mention that to Helen and see if we can put a reference to that somewhere in DW13 .

This would be him arriving in the first scene of the (original, animated) movie, being on the shuttle the Decepticons hijack but still unconscious so they ignore him, and coming to after they spring their suprise attack at Autobot City, just in time to bail out before the abandoned shuttle crashes into it, or if he's really good take it over via a hacking song on the controls and save both the shuttle and wherever it was pointed at, and possibly some of the Autobot crew if they were just out but not gone before it crashed.
As for the rest... yeah, if Doug can actually compete versus EVA's 30m mecha I suppose 30ft isn't going to be a problem... How does he feel about colossal planet-devouring machine gods?

ETA: Major reason both for and against this Stagger: Doug meets the Junkions, is anyone ready for this to happen?

Oh, and I saw the TF animated movie so long ago I pretty much remember nothing but the fact that I saw the TF animated movie.

Oh, and that Leonard Nimoy's voice was in it somewhere.

Nimoy was Galvatron and Unicron after Orson Welles died with only part of the lines recorded, IIRC. The trouble with Unicron is that, like Galactus, he considers the entirety of the universe to be his own buffet table and would probably include any other universes if he was aware of them, so Doug's neighborhood is by default included.
As for watching the movie... it's probably worthwhile to track down a copy at Blockbuster or something (of the dread pirated media we shall not speak) and do so, there are some genuine funny and dramatic moments in between shooting Bambi's mother and kid sidekicks being annoying. Best of all, there's more time spent on the actual Transformers (you know, the ones the movie is named for) as all three Bay movies combined.
