Another problem...

For some reason video embeds -- whether imported or created here -- work inside the editor window but don't when displayed in a thread. A quick search indicates a couple of possible reasons.
I've put tracking this down and fixing it on my to-do list.

Another forum I'm on cares if there's a "s" after "http" in the link ("https" doesn't work, "http" does.)

Yeah, that seems to be most common explanation I've come across. There are a few different solutions available, and I'll investigate and test them after I get the rest of the board transferred over.

Y'know, I don't mind needing to click on a link to see a video. That way, the videos don't get auto-loaded and auto-added to the list that YouTube uses to predict what I might like... (My "you might like" list is now useless to me, although I suspect timote would love it.)

That would be, I think, an easy enough change to effect with a quick SQL statement or two.
(You know, I'm starting to wonder just how the hell I ran the old boards for 15 years without database access and the vast majority of admin tools available here...)
