And it's 12:01 on the Left Coast now.

Time for a carol...

Deck us all with Boston Charlie,

Walla Walla, Wash., an' Kalamazoo!

Nora's freezin' on the trolley,

Swaller dollar cauliflower alley-garoo!

Don't we know archaic barrel,

Lullaby Lilla boy, Louisville Lou?

Trolley Molly don't love Harold,

Boola boola Pensacoola hullabaloo!

Bark us all bow-wows of folly,

Polly wolly cracker n' too-da-loo!

Hunky Dory's pop is lolly

gaggin' on the wagon, Willy, folly go through!

Donkey Bonny brays a carol,

Antelope Cantaloup, 'lope with you!

Chollie's collie barks at Barrow,

Harum scarum five alarum bung-a-loo!

I'd say "Happy Christmas To All, And To All A Good Day", but I've just spent two hours watching my two-year-old nephew goggle at the whole
spectacle, and I'm overwhelmed by Teh Kyoot.

Merry Christmas all!

And a most unusual one was had by me today.

My Mom and Aunt decided that "the roads are too dangerous today, let's put this off until tomorrow?" And my brother agreed to put off the
get-together (we were going to have Christmas Day dinner over at his place with Turkey - and still will, just a day late.)

That thoroughly non-plussed both me and my dad, because we were both out and about on Christmas morning, each doing our own thing, and while it DID dump a
small amount of snow in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, it all melted off the roads by noon.

(shrug) Okay. No worries. Whatever you want, mom. Tongue

So since I was already out, I headed over to Dads and we exchanged just his and my gifts (I got him a signed copy of "Failure is Not an Option" by
Gene Kranz) and he gave me the usual Christmas care package and extra funds to go get whatever extra I might want (he had already gotten me the new computer
earlier this year and both agreed that was my Christmas gift early)) - -

And then we sat down and watched Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles.

I guess it'll feel a little more traditional tomorrow when I'm visiting the rest of the family. ^_^

I made out okay, with the traditional reception of two pair of pants from my brother, something thoughtful from my sister, and something useful if not
thematically Christmas-y from my folks. Also, this was the first Christmas I'd been able to get EVERYONE a gift. (Cutting down the list by one due to my
sister's divorce helped a LOT)

Edit: Bah, this was the Family events and not the loot Thread...

Gathered at my brother's place this year and had venison pot roast on Christmas Eve, and roast pork for Christmas itself. I startled the heck out of my
sibs by bringing a bottle of Captain Morgan along and having a Rum and Coke. Normally, I have to drive home afterwards, so I don't usually partake but I
knew I'd be spending the night, so...

Spent last night taking photos of the skaters in front of the bandshell in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Park_(London)]Victoria Park. This morning, we watched the rain fall before heading over to grandmother's place, where most of the family gathered for turkey dinner. And now I'm back at the hotel...
