The costume is good.

And it may be the soft lighting, but the actors face doesn't really look germanic/scandinavian.

There may be some griping about the costumes being too modern looking, but I find the Thor costume to be a good compromise between the "I don't wanna look stupid!" wail of the actor and "What are you talking about? Jack Kirby designed the character; of COURSE you're gonna look stupid!"

Did anyone follow the link to the official still from the movie? For an odd angle and dim lighting, I thought that looked pretty good. And as far as the actor looking right for the role, at least he's better than the fellow they got for that one Hulk TV movie.

But no one can beat the guy from Adventures in Babysitting.

The only gripe I have with this one is that it could really use a belt -- I think Thor's bog-standard yellow would set it off nicely.  I wonder if there's a helmet or not?  Kirby's original was maybe the weakest part of the costume, but some variant of the Simonson Armor helmet might work.
I like that the discs glow, and Mjolnir is infused with the Power Kirby. Smile

No, no, the garage guy that she thought was Thor.
ETA:  Holy cow.  I just ran over to IMDB to see who played him, and it was Vincent D'Onofrio of Law and Order: Criminial Intent!
