MASSIVE Steam Sale
MASSIVE Steam Sale
#1
What it says on the tin. Steam's having a huge sale that runs from today until July 4, with some prices cut for the whole time period and a few daily specials. I'm picking up San Andreas at the moment and I might get Fuel later.

If you're not up to digging through the sales, just watch the daily specials. The stuff on the front page changes every day.

Twin Sector looks like an interesting puzzle like game. Demo on Steam as well, if you want to give it a spin before paying the 4 dollars. (Down from 15)
There's also a lot of 'Complete Pack' bundles from Publishers on sale for a pretty good discount. Larger prices, but most have 10-20 games in the bundle.

I would have picked up the 2k complete pack if I didn't already have borderlands and civ4.

Though I am tempted to get the square enix pack. I have heard good things about batman, deus ex, and thief. And tomb raider would be just a guilty pleasure.

They had the Deus Ex 10 Year anniversary just before the sale started (Both games for $5). I'd highly recommend Deus Ex itself. Invisible War was a bit of a let down in gameplay/mechanics but the story's still a passable sequel (It presupposes one of the multi endings on the first though).

As for the rest of the stuff in there, I can't say anything about it.

Interesting things for today:

Portal for $1.99

World of Goo for $5.00

Also, the 'day' ends at 1 PM EDT each day (0800 GMT), or about 17 hours from now. So there's ample coverage for communication.

Not sure how much long this 'Midweek Madness' lasts (I'm guessing "wednesday-ish")

But Borderlands is $10.19

If you like FPS and Diablo, pick this up. It's guilty fun.

The DLC packs are also 66% off.

Huh, why hasn't anyone said a word on Steam's Lucasarts week! I only found out that it was happening as a adjunct to discovering a change in the status of Blade Kitten to discover SW:Empire at War was on sale. A game I've bought eons ago retail & is one that's apparently run into CD Key issues on Steam.
It's Battlefront 2 now.
