Body Mass Inex Calculator
I will admit to being obese. At 5'8" I weight 225 pounds in February. I just hit 200 pounds this week. The goal is 165-170 pounds. Should be able to do that in another 4 months. Tough though.

Should be 184.  Am 190.
A few weeks of diet would clear that up, if I bothered.
EDIT:  Didn't think it mattered, but I'm 6'0".  Ish.  Might be 6'1", but I rounded down out of autosadism.
(If I *am* 6'1", then I'm technically in my normal range.)

6'1", 235. Yup, a good 40 lbs overweight, though I'm down from my heaviest weight. I really need to work on my food impulse control and make use of the gym membership I have.

I think the BMI thing is a load of crock!

Case in point: I'm 6'6" and I'm about 295.

The Calculator says that my normal weight should be 161-216.

That's physically and surgically impossible.

The BMI uses a square function, not a cube function. It assumes you're two-dimensional.

Your BMI can deceive you. Don't trust it.

(That story about the nine year old gymnast was also rather WTF.)

-Morgan. I, however, am definitely overweight.

The BMI is not accurate if you're an athlete. For that you'd need to be weighed underwater or calipers.
@ rob: Well, some of these fashion models would qualify as 2-D.

Ya, it rated me as normal and I'm 150 & 6'1.

I fail to see how I'm anything but "bean pole".

Probably best to go with measuring body fat percentage more than anything else really. BMI doesn't seem to take body structure into account much.
