Well, I thought he sounded spookily like David Carradine the first time I watched it. But if I've sussed out the cast list on IMDB properly, he's http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001277/]Scott Glenn. That doesn't help, though -- I don't recognize any of his recent roles.
ETA: To answer Spud, according to the movie's IMDB trivia page, it is not an adaptation of anything: Quote:Zack Snyder's first film that is not based on another work. Dawn of the Dead (2004) was a remake of a 1978 film by 'George A. Romero'. Both 300 (2006) and Watchmen (2009) were based on graphic novels. And Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (2010) is based on a children's fantasy book.
