A joke for today

On the third day, He arose, rolled the stone from the front of the tomb, and walked once more upon Earth.

A passer-by noticed Him leaving, pointed to the stone, and said, "Close the door when you leave! Were you born in a barn?"

them. Adversaries remain citizens of the same state, common subjects of
the same sovereign, servants of the same law."

“We can never undo what we have done. We can never go back in time. We write history with our decisions and our actions. But we also write history with our responses to those actions. We can leave the pain and the damage in our wake, unattended, or we can do the work of acknowledging and fixing, to whatever extent possible, the harm that we have caused.”

Fester and his wife are journeying through the holy land, when, through the vagaries of fate and chance, his wife drops dead one night in her sleep. Fester goes to arrange for her repatriation back home. As he handles the forms the clerk looks at him with bemusement.

"Surely sir, your wife yould've prefered to be buried in the holy land,"

Fester purses his lips. "Sure she would. But that other bollix they buried here came back three days later, and I'm not takin' that chance."
