So I'm going through the archives of El Goonish Shive and discovered the parallel strip that Dan has created that's more overtly humor based. It's called EGS: NP (El Goonish Shive: News Paper. As in - he's sticking to the format of a daily comic as it would be presented in a newspaper.)
Anyway, so basic explanation for where I found the following is out of the way. Or as Bill Cosby used to say - I told you that story so that I could tell you this one:
Perhaps it's partially the time of night (morning) that I encountered this strip. Perhaps it's the inherent Pythonesque nature of the silliness. Perhaps it's what Gryphon and the late great Derek Bacon once referred to as the "everything is funny after 3 AM" rule. Or perhaps, as an artist, I identify with the situation. Perhaps it just doesn't matter.
But the following strip UTTERLY DESTROYED ME and LITERALLY HAD ME ROLLING ON THE FLOOR!!!
