Picture a world where Berry Gordy of Motown fame decides that the time has come to create a Motown musical martial arts film. What is better, while embracing the staples of the genre; he adds in a comic book sensibility that would not be out of place in an Iron Fist comic (one of the first martial arts genre films in North America to do so.) If you haven't seen it - find a copy. Is it good? Well my fifteen year old self loved it and while my more cynical older self does cringe at certain moments, it is actually an important film in the genre; serving as a bridge from the the nasty, dirty, politically charged martial arts films of the late seventies and early eighties to a more mainstream stance.
Besides, it has Julius Carry as 'The Shogun of Harlem' So'Nuff.
