Because in celebration of reaching issue #200, Antarctic Press put it online.  All of it.  As pdfs.  Take a look.

Ye gods, it's gonna be an archive binge of apocalyptic proportions -- 'cause I've only read one issue before (#166), just recently.  How to deal with vampires:  "Oh, that?  It's a hyperspace portal ... with a five-meter radius.  Leading into a bright, sunny sky two miles over the Bahamas!  Oh!  And what's this?  Why, it's a one-inch-radius hyperspace portal leading to a really, really sunny sky ... one mile over the planet Mercury!  So ... who's up for a little tanning?"

Edit:  I'm an imbecile.  I forgot to say, "Thanks."

Well I've now downloaded all of them -

- except for two issues that mysteriously fail to load for me.

Is anyone else having trouble with Issues #179 and #180?

If not - can you send them my way so I can complete my collection?

And thanks again! Due to financial problems I've fallen more than a year behind in my collection. They're still waiting for me at Keith's Comics in Dallas in the sub box they keep for me there. (Keith and crew are mensches, one and all!) And I do intend to buy them to get them off their hands as soon as I get the money. I go in like once every 3-6 months these days and take home a little bit of my sub at a time.

But it's great to read them all NOW. ^_^

I can't get those comics to load either. Here's the email for their site support guy, from their contact page.

Argh....

I though FPerry stopped fifty issues ago, so that's a few year's of single issues I missed picking up. Then again I've not really stopped by a comic shop which stocked Gold Digger much in that time also. I've probably missed a Gold Brick or three too....

Gold Brick VI is the last of the Gold Bricks. It's simply not economical for them to produce them anymore. Even that one only went into production because of preorders. Since #100 of the color series (151 overall), they've shifted to the Platinum series, a more conventional trade paperback approach.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to continue compiling my digital collection from the end of the old DVD set onwards Smile

I don't know. But if it is and you don't get what you want, check with me or one of the other guys. I currently now have all the PDFs save the ones above I mentioned and can send them as needed.

Does the website have any sort of option to batch-download them or do you need to save each issue separately?

I don't know. I had time so I just went in and got them all one by one.

Okay, I should have them all as well now.  I'll do a double-check tomorrow.  Fortunately for me, I have the DownThemAll! plugin for firefox.  Nifty little guy.  I can set the number of concurrent downloads as well as the number of streams each download gets (good to have in a DL manager when a site disallows multiple streams).  Since I now have a ridiculously fast down-stream connection and most files are in the 8-12MB range...  I just set it to one stream and one download at a time... and then told Firefox to use the DownThemAll! option every time I clicked a download link.  Between rapid clicking and striking the enter-key, I was able to que up everything in just a few minutes.  Smile

Same here. I saw this thread, thought the comic looked interesting, so I downloaded all of it, and from what I can tell, the pdf files were probably corrupted on the server end, so the copies available for download of 179/180 probably need to be rescanned and reuploaded by whoever (presumably Fred himself) put them there, as they were either messed up when they were converted into PDF's or they were garbled when they got uploaded to the AP servers.
Either way, I'm sure everyone got bad copies of those two issues.

Concur - those two copies are borked on my end as well.  Would someone kindly inform the proper authorities if they haven't been already?
