This is nothing new. At all. No, really.

You see, Anno cut his teeth working with Miyazaki-san. He was responsible for the bit in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind where the Giant Warrior appears and flash-fries a few hundred ohmu. To hear that he's working with Miyazaki again? Outstanding! I hope that it will be a good experience for him to get back to his roots.
