So instead of Nigerian scam, it's now the Malaysian scam?
Edit by Bob:  I rewrapped the scam email so it won't force a horizontal scroll.

I got one of those claiming to be from a US military Sergeant once who found some Iraqi Gold and wanted to launder it.

There're some weird varients out there if you're willing to wait or them to come to you.

Given that email address, I think it's the Mongolian scam now.

There's an entire internet subculture of people who bait these scam artists, in an effort to waste the scammer's time and distract them from those who'd actually fall for the scams.

My favorite of the that subculture is the one who dragged the scammer into an H.P. Lovecraft story and scared the everlasting crap out of him. Let me see if I can find it... Oh easily! Googling on "nigerian scam cthulhu" turns up many copies. For some reason it seems to be popular. http://sicherheitskultur.at/David%20Ehi ... 20Scam.htm]Here's a nice clean copy someone archived.
Edit:  The archive I originally linked to lacked the "punchline".  This one has it.
