How do I save an entire forum?
How do I save an entire forum?

No, not this one. As I believe I've mentioned, SJGames won't be renewing their Traveller license. Thus, I'm worried that http://forums.sjgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=16]the Traveller forum on SJGames Forums will be disappearing at the end of this year. It would be a shame to lose the good ideas, background points, and plotbunnies in those 2200+ threads...

What software do I need for an automated download of the forum, and how do I set it up to grab all the pages? If it makes a difference, the SJGames forum uses vBulletin software.

HTTrack ( http://www.httrack.com/ ) can crawl and downloald domains as a batch of HTML files (and keep all the internal links functional). You simply give it the domain to crawl and download, and tell it where to make a directory for the files it downloads. However, it will only be able to crawl publicly accessible areas. So, for forums, if you have to log in to see a particular board, it won't be able to grab it.
