Getting back into the swing of things (CoH)
Getting back into the swing of things (CoH)
#1
So a few of you may have noticed that I'm trying to get back into CoH.
And aside from having to rebuild my bind files for Clank Patrol from vague memories and distant hopes, I need to improve my gameplay experience. This might just be having to work the rust off my skills.

What things have made the game better for you?

I already have videot maps.
Do people hang out on the official Discord server? or a different one?

Thanks in advance for all the help, and the several million inf people have already tossed my way.

I've got the discord server, but don't really use it. And if you find a good Daemon MM bind collection, Bonnie could use it
Hear that thunder rolling till it seems to rock the sky?
Thats' every ship in Grayson's Navy taking up the cry!

I'll pop up my bind files for Nogi and you can reverse-engineer from them:

-- Edit: I found I have a basic bots bind set I never used, you will need several plain .txt files, I put mine in C:\covbinds -- to use these, create the text files in your binds folder, edit to taste and use the slashcommand "/bindloadfile C:\*yourpathhere*\bots.txt

BOTS.TXT
Code:
numpad0 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\all.txt
numpad1 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\drones.txt
numpad2 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\protector.txt
numpad3 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\assault.txt

ALL.TXT

Code:
numpad4 petcom_all Aggressive
numpad5 petcom_all Defensive
numpad6 petcom_all Passive
numpad7 petcom_all Attack
numpad8 petcom_all Follow
numpad9 petcom_all Goto
lctrl+decimal petcom_all Dismiss

DRONES.TXT (similar for Protector and Assault, Put something unique from the power's name for "Battle")

Code:
numpad4 petcom_pow Battle Aggressive
numpad5 petcom_pow Battle Defensive
numpad6 petcom_pow Battle Passive
numpad7 petcom_pow Battle Attack
numpad8 petcom_pow Battle Follow
numpad9 petcom_pow Battle Goto
lctrl+decimal petcom_pow Battle Dismiss

For Nogi, since I created individual files per pet name, her basic bid is:
NINJAS.TXT
Code:
numpad0 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\all.txt
numpad1 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\genin.txt
numpad2 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\jounin.txt
numpad3 bind_load_file c:\covbinds\oni.txt
divide bind_load_file c:\covbinds\shima.txt
multiply bind_load_file c:\covbinds\uzumaki.txt
subtract bind_load_file c:\covbinds\hebi.txt
add bind_load_file c:\covbinds\kuroi.txt
numpadenter bind_load_file c:\covbinds\akai.txt

And the individual names are only necessary for the Tier 1 and 2 minions, they all follow this pattern:

HEBI.TXT
Code:
numpad4 petcom_name Hebi Aggressive
numpad5 petcom_name Hebi Defensive
numpad6 petcom_name Hebi Passive
numpad7 petcom_name Hebi Attack
numpad8 petcom_name Hebi Follow
numpad9 petcom_name Hebi Goto
lctrl+decimal petcom_name Hebi Dismiss

Making money is excessively easier now.

Using merit rewards from story arcs and TFs, you can buy 3 Enhancement Converters per merit from the Merit vendors. These sell for about 100K Influence/infamy a piece on Wentworths, one of the things that have retained their value (rare salvage has declined due to the devs seeding the marketboard with cheaper salvage to keep inflation of prices in check). Running a handful of arcs and selling the converters on Wentworths can generally net you a few million before you even break single digits in leveling

The P2W vendor in Atlas has various temp powers, including adjustable XP. You can go from normal XP and inf up to double XP and no influence basically at will by selecting the "Custom XP Rates" options.

At 50, you continue earning XP and every time you "level", you get a veteran level with either Incarnate Threads or Empyrean merits. All level 50 content now drops Incarnate XP instead of just trials. Incarnate arcs now drop the same random Incarnate salvage table as an iTrial does upon completion once a day.

Thank you Foxboy, that has sparked my memory of how I had my binds setup.

Also, good to hear that the influence grind is reduced Smile

So one last question (at least for a while, I hope).
Is mids still getting updated, the website I found says last update was 2012? I have heard about something called Pine, but I've been hesitant to download and run something from a rather random mega.nz link

Yeah, Pines is the current Mids equivalent.

The thread covering its updates and such are here:
