Ironically, the Doctor was rarely broadcast in the NYC area -- I lucked out for a couple-three years in the middle 80s when one of the local stations played the show in the middle of the night on Saturday, but beyond that I had to survive on records and the very rare live show (yes, I've seen him live twice -- once as the opening act for a late-80s Weird Al concert in NYC).
