Mother and father both love her, though dad is kind of an asshole about it, but the two had taken to fighting like they want to kill each other... For Mink, this is normal and she doesn't really question it.
Add in a corrupt ruler, his daughter who has an issue with the very existence of Mink, the beginnings of a tournament, and all kinds of wacky WTFness, and wrap it all up with a closing song about food and set to Beethoven.
