In Another World with Truck-kun (Yet Another Damn Isekai Story)

Well, with the linear arrays, I was mainly thinking you can write it at the "correct" size and spacing, and it's however long as it is. Now if you're putting multiple spells on a single object like a staff, or have a limited space the inscription has to fit inside, that gets trickier, but to make a single spell you can pretty much cut to fit, or at worst have the maximum length of your available material as a constraint.

For the new bits, eh, Obviously Evil Empire is Obviously Evil. I'm not so sure about the illiterate warrior caste, though - either their simplified writing system is just a "secret language" or it's probably not sufficient to accurately convey the intent of orders to a commander in the field, or whoever is the most senior survivor after the command staff gets turned into chunky salsa by some kind of magically animated flying bundle of blades. The serfs should also be at least numerate and able to read simple labels, because otherwise your infrastructure to store and transport goods is going to be a mess to say the very least, which is anathema to a bureaucratic Imperial China expy.

As to the dragons aspect, do they magically breed true, or is lineage purity also a thing for them to form hierarchies over?
