Huh. A lot more elaborate than my usual pot roast recipe, especially where liquid is concerned -- I normally start with only 3/4 cup of wine, not enough to submerge most of the meat. (I still get two or more cups of gravy out of it when I'm done, though.) I'll have to try adding a couple of things from it to my recipe, though, such as the garlic, rosemary and bay leaf.
