I heard a little tidbit on the radio yesterday morning.  In an interview once, Bob Seger said that in Night Moves, the line 'Humming a song from 1962' was written with Be My Baby by the Ronettes in mind.

Sure, we've Global Thermonuclear War to come the way things are going. There's that to look forward to.

I love the smell of rotaries in the morning. You know one time, I got to work early, before the rush hour. I walked through the empty carpark, I didn't see one bloody Prius or Golf. And that smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole carpark, smelled like.... ....speed.

One day they're going to ban them.

Pinball programmer and expert pinball player Lyman F. Sheats Jr. If you've ever played a later Williams pinball like Attack from Mars, and seen the default leaderboard (incredibly even scores like 40,000,000) say LFS, odds are that's a game he worked on.

I can't find confirmation, but there's a rumor that P J O'Rourke has died. Which is a sad day for humor and means that the American Right has lost a voice of responsibility and common sense.

Edit: Confirmed. Damn.
