Song of the Day, 19 May 2003
Song of the Day, 19 May 2003
#1
Here we are.
Born to be kings.
We're the princes of the universe.
Here we belong.
Fighting to survive.
In a world with the darkest powers.
And here we are. We're the princes of the universe.
Here we belong. Fighting for survival.
We've come to be the rules of your world.
I am immortal. I have inside me blood of kings.
I have no rival. No man can be my equal.
Take me to the future of your world.
Born to be kings.
Princes of the universe.
Fighting and free.
Got your world in my hand.
I'm here for your love and I'll make my stand.
We were born to be princes of the universe.
No man could understand.
My power is in my own hand.
Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. People talk about you.
People say you've had your day.
I'm a man that will go far.
Fly the moon and reach for the stars.
With my sword and head held high.
Got to pass the test first time - yeah.
I know that people talk about me I hear it every day.
But I can prove you wrong cos I'm right first time.
Yeah. Yeah. Alright. Watch this man fly.
Bring on the girls.
Here We are.
Born to be kings.
We're the princes of the universe.
Here we belong.
Born to be kings.
Princes of the universe.
Fighting and free.
Got the world in my hands.
I'm here for your love.
And I'll make my stand.
We were born to be princes of the universe.
-- Queen, Princes Of The Universe
Words and music by Freddie Mercury
From the album "A Kind of Magic"

It's Deja Vu All Over Again...
I've had that song popping into my head relating to DW for the last week, but I'll be damned if I know why. Perhaps I was just channelling you (or you channelled me)...
Now I really want to know what's up - e-mail me the details if you don't want to post them, please [Image: smile.gif]

It always struck me as being a great one to build a Tenchi Muyo music video to, but I could see it used in a number of ways here also. I'll be curious as to how it relates.

Yeah...
I _thought_ I heard Queen, but I guessed "Its A Kind of Magic!", or maybe "Flash Gordon".
Maybe my Astral Hearing isn't as good in my old age... [grin]

Keep up the Good Work! [grin]
Cheers!

Josh, I'm planning on giving you a phone call tonight, so we'll talk then, okay?

I'm in Boston, so calling me at home won't be good [Image: smile.gif]
I'll e-mail you and we can work out the timing details for a phone call one way or the other.
