Ship Registry
Re: Ship Registry
#44
SS Killing Joke
Registry Number: SEB-X-2502
Base Hull: Custom - teardrop shape 25,02m in length, 20m in diameter for the half-sphere forward section.
Drive Type: Acceleration - Solar Sails, 'running' on 'wave treated iron paricles that are spread outside the ship and shaped by virtue of structural integrity projectors. Unfortunately, with high-end use, these tend to burn out at a certain rate, hence acting as fuel.
Owner of Record: SEBureau
Purpose: Remote Drone Carrier, Multi-role
Launched: June 30th, 2013
Crew: *Harlequinn
Supplementary Crew: *Provisional Evolutionary Extravehicular Ballistic Object administrative core 01, allowing for deployment of up to 20 drones at one time, each 'manned' by its own remote semi-AI residing within the core.
Loadout:
*Provisional Evolutionary Extravehicular Ballistic Object (PEEBO) drones x20.
*Provisional Evolutionary Extravehicular Ballistic Object - Combat Homing Unit (PEEBO-CHU) x20
Faction: SEBureau
Home Port: Earth-Luna L5 station Stellvia, Above and Beyond Development Drydock (rented space)
Status: ACTIVE
Known Vehicle/Crew Quirks:
*Anvilania - the iron dust that shapes the Solar Sails must have been, at some point in time in the past, part of an anvil. Performance falls to 20% if this is not the case.
*I only dream in black and white - the paint job that looks like a demented chessboard is non-negotiable, apparently. At least, Harley says so.
*It's funny ... laugh ... or _else_ - when wanting to board, you must produce a reasonable 'hyena laugh'. Also known as 'doing the Muttley'. Otherwise, you'll not only be denied entrance, but Harley is likely to sick the PEEBO units on you.
*Ooooh, that makes me so MAD - the PEEBO personalities each have a hot button of some sort.
Trivia:
*at some time during the quickening process, which took place in a Stellvia research lab six months prior to launch, the intelligence that would become known as Harlequinn might have imprinted on one Sora Hasegawa, who was helping with some aspects of the Solar Sail principle implementation. Or, to put it bluntly, Harley developed a crush. Nobody, not even the object of said crush or Harley's nominal primary creator, is aware of this fact at this point in time. Or if they are, they're not telling.
Attendum:
DRN Provisional Evolutionary Extravehicular Ballistic Object (PEEBO)
Base Hull: 2cm thick shell of Hephaestus-forged battle steel forming a perfect sphere the size of a basketball.
Drive: Acceleration, on the repulsion/attraction principle.
Purpose: All-purpose drone
Crew: *PEEBO personality engram stored within the carrier's core.
Known Quirks:
*Hot Button - each engram has something that enrages it to the point of ignoring all else until the source is removed.
*Selective Awareness - when not in the Core, the PEEBO unit's awareness is resticted to the sympathetic connection with said core and a particular, randomly chosen and most often obscure broadcast channel, used to transmit the Hot Buttons.
DRN Provisional Evolutionary Extravehicular Ballistic Object - Combat Homing Unit (PEEBO-CHU)
A dart forged from battle steel, carrying a simple attraction principle drive and a high powered broadcast system. Each dart is attuned to broadcast the Hot Button of one PEEBO unit, thus making this a surefire way of designating targets.

When the greatest force is required, use your head. Surprise is everything. - The Book of Cataclysm
