I imagine the Jonova's witnesses would be a developement after someone comes up with a strain of biomodding 'weave that generally leaves brilliant green eyes along with whatever else.
Also, I must make mention of the Immigrant Fleet and Church of Ormus from the Xenosaga series - not that I know what to do with them, but there they are, in case somone comes uyp with it. U-DO would be a reasonable stand-in for the Data Entities of Haruhi canon as well.
