I thought of Kandor as their base on my drive home from work tonight; I just wish I'd thought of it sooner.
As for the Grover's Corners, it's slow but powerful. It can hover and lift its own weight, which is how it got off the ground in the first place, and I'm currently giving it a max speed of 0.01c. If anyone thinks that's too fast, I'm open to suggestions.
As for being a reaver target, well, that's for the future. I've just completed the backstory, and it's basically only been in space for a month as of the Con all-call. The crew have it parked at the Earth-Moon L3 point and are just lazing about, going "Wow, we did it", and basically getting to know the neighbors. They haven't actually gone anywhere in it yet except up -- the Convention might be their first real trip.
Anyway, I'm about to put an updated version over in the Ship Registry. If people want to troubleshoot it for story purposes, let me know. I've decided to go with the 250-acre version, because I can have more fun with it -- but it's also probably going to be a one-time thing, because I've decided it was a two-year build, if not longer, and its launch triggered all kinds of bad reactions in the United States. (And elsewhere.)
The crew hasn't been detailed yet, but I'm planning on them joining the Supers faction. Eventually they'll be biomodded, and as most of them are or have been players in Warriors' World, their biomods will turn out to be random grabs from one or another of their characters. I've got some ideas, but nothing firm yet. I'm also thinking that once they align with the Supers, they'll get into negotiations with NCSoft to host a City of Heroes server for Fenspace ("High Frontier" server, anyone?).
