Inofficial Fenspace Hymn?
Inofficial Fenspace Hymn?
#1
Well, is there any Inofficial Hymn of Fenspace?
As in all of Fenspace?
I ask this because today, while listening to some Rush, I thought that 'Closer to the Heart' and 'Freewill' may fit the bill...
But maybe that's just me... :p

I think some factions might have something like a hymn... but not whole Fenspace... too many different people with different tastes.

The Hong Kong Cavaliers' rendition of "Karn Evil Number 9" has a video that was constructed specifically as a "Welcome to Fenspace" anthem. A description of it can be found here.

I personally have always considered the 'National Anthem of Fenspace' to be Leslie Fish's Hope Eyrie, myself.

Watching a youtube video with Hope Eyrie, I remembered Fire in the Sky by Kristoph Klover...

Which might also do the job...

I quite like this.... but then again, that's just me.

More mature songs are probably better, mind.

At least two ships quote from it on their dedication plaques, after all...

For obvious reasons, StellviaCorp is partial to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNpnuDYwwQo]Brilliant Road to Tomorrow, but they don't expect the rest of the Convention to adopt it.

Not at all unexpected. Smile

And Hope Eyrie -is- the official anthem of Greenwood, yes, it most definitely is.

I know a lot of people don't really care for the artist, but I think Moby's got a good candidate in We Are All Made Of Stars. The lyrics just about perfectly sums up the collective attitude of the Fen.
