After the Frams successful mission to Wolf 359 the Tycho Brahe Institute had their hands on two of the most interesting places close to Earth and the chance to observe and try to understand not only one but two unique ecosystems in two very different environments with Muspellsheimr and Nifelheimr.
The only way to do long term observations and discoveries on both worlds was to establish a station in the double-planets baystation. Reykjavik Station was born. It was decided to draw on the experiences of the establishment of arctic and antarctic stations by the Nordic countries and the experience of Whistler Services for their low cost, high quality experiences with building space craft and the Institutes good experience with Whistler concerning the SS Fram.
Build on Cuno Station using existing container production lines and a basic torus design Reykjavik Station is designed to be highly modular and expandable with multiple more toruses around the central pillar.
Reykjavik Station is designed with high redundancy, utilizing four central Fusor reactors (each capable of supplying the station with 100% of the needed energy) and one backup Fusor per module, it is unlikely that a larger problem could destroy the station or make it unable to continue its work.
Four unarmed Swedish Strf90 IFV are the auxiliary vehicles of the station, providing protection against both planets environments.
Reykjavik Station was delivered into Wolf 359 in five parts by the Tyger Tyger.
Known Vehicle Quirks:
* 'Have you tried whacking it with a hammer?' Sometimes important systems (safe for life support) like to go offline and stay that way until someone hits the main controller with a hammer or another heavy object.
* 'C-c-cold...' Its impossible to get the internal temperature of the living quarters above 18 degreed Celsius.

Nice construction.

I would suggest adding a large waved HF radio for Interwave access with Earth... *G*

"Damned, we forgot something... so what, just call up amazon.fen and click on Hermes+ delivery... for the right money, they are delivering even to other solar systems."

:nods. "I imagine Percussive Maintenance is a fairly common quirk across Fenspace.

I'm sure that there is a ship out there with a quirk of "All or Nothing"... all gear is effectively black boxes. If it busts you have to perform Percusive Maintenance, and if that doesnt work you have no choice but to replace, cause its never gonna work again (in that ship anyway) no matter WHAT else you do to it. (Though there have been cases of gear returning to normal function AFTER removal...)
Hear that thunder rolling till it seems to split the sky?
That's every ship in Grayson's Navy taking up the cry-

NO QUARTER!!!
