I think you're missing the big problem, Aisha. This place was originally built by a bunch of Dursleys fifteen years ago so the whole powergrid on Frigga is basicaly a mundane power grid, it just can't handle spark generated by Fen reactors. The extra noise from the converter and harmonics alone would cook the transformer cores, and make setting zones on the breakers next to impossible because those things behave in weird ways.

Who talks about an arc reactor? Yes I know, even the latest Fusors can be a bit "jumpy", but this could be solved with a good converter... not a smashed together one you get from a Mad Scientist, something that you would use on Earth to generate DC.
The other option would be not to use a Fusor... let me dig a little bit in our database, I think I have something you will find interesting for power generation.
If you say the old reactor would be out of order for half a year anyways we should be able to do it... this will be fun!
