The Frigga situation really gets interesting when you look at the larger picture. I think it was by accident, but a lot of the other rocks out in the belt have decided to treat Frigga as a test case for signing up with Venus. After the UBA mess, they've been nervous about staying independent, but no one wants to be the first guy to dive into the lake, so how nice of the Friggans to do it for them. And they're really not impressed by Kayabuki's little Rotten Borough schemes. Even the ones that figure Frigga should bite the bullet and deal with a bad baron for a while are considering looking elsewhere for their larger government needs. My contacts in Jovian space tell me that the Warsies and the Browncoats are currently getting approached by a lot of representatives from smaller colonies, and while I haven't heard from the Federation yet, I'd say they're almost certain to be getting the same thing.
Venus is really shooting itself in the foot here. I'm going to be in Crystal Tokyo in a few days, I'll do some asking around there, see what the mood is.
