Okay, the next post will contain the first complete draft of the article. I've tried to incorporate all the suggestions I could.
JFerio, please check the JMC stuff in the "Long Term Effects" section. I did some quick research and found that the non-management employee base of the American mining industry is around half a million, which I felt was a little much for JMC to absorb wholesale, so I suggested that 10K took the offer, If that's not a good number let me know what you'd rather have.
I've got Cuomo as president 2012-2016, followed by Obama, per Norway/Fnord's suggestions. Time now to argue that out if anyone disagrees. Beyond that I have no preferences.
In case anyone notices, I changed the various bill numbers. I actually went and looked up what bill numbers were submitted on the dates I specified, and changed the article accordingly. (This grew out of a similar bit of research I did for the beginning of the SLA2009, where I went to see what day HR451 had been submitted to the House in 2009, and set that as the day Happery submits the bill.)
I've coded links for all the congresscritters involved to prompt other collective members to flesh them out a bit afterwards.
