It did the same thing to me.

I also noticed that anyone who didn't have a location in their profile now lives in my home town.

*checks his profile*

It did it to me as well.

I should be so lucky. I got force-fed those age-reducing mushrooms. It says I'm 13. ><

I checked my profile and discovered that I was female, 13, and a resident of Wedgeport. The things you learn from Yuku.

It must be basing the location thing on Virtue Is It's Own Reward! (That'd probably explain some of the gender changes too...)
Quote:This is the imported old ezBoard theme. I just confirmed by following those instructions, opening up the theme for a preview -- and seeing the same thing we're seeing here.

I really need to sit down and work on it to make the board look the old way, but I don't have the time for it right now. Please be patient.

I'd be willing to take a copy of the imported theme and throw it up on a free board to see if I could get something like the old design. After all, I'm complaining a lot, so I should put my time and enthusiasm where my mouth is. And while I probably couldn't do the original design, I can handle mimickry. (I've already saved copies of various things from google cache for reference material.)

And if I can get rid of that annoying horizontal rule before the sigs, it'll all be worthwhile.

Likewise - it thought I was 13 and female. Although it also thought I live in a suburb near where I do live... which bodes ill for privacy concerns.

It thought I was female, and even more remarkably, it thought I was 2008 years old.

The other odd thing I noticed is that anchored topics show up as "previous topic" when browsing forums...

how did you manage to pull that off?

edited to add: is anyone else really annoyed that unread posts are not flagged in some way shape or form in the actual thread? Yes I can see that topic X has
new posts, but in order to pick up where I left off I have to look at the post timestamps. Or am I missing something obvious?

On the plus side, my avatar is now displayed at full size, and I like this text editor much better than the old one.

If you mean in that particular post, it's because that's not using the signature function, it's just typed in. If I use the signature
function, that damn annoying horizontal rule comes back...

On the minus side, I'm now forced to have an avatar despite the fact that I don't want to have one, and the default text editor doesn't
work in my browser...

I can't say I'm thrilled with the bar up top, but I had no problems at all using Mozilla - I logged in with the same thing as before and it worked
fine. I haven't bothered to check my profile to see if I'm female or age-changed or suddenly living somewhere else, admittedly.

so far my only real grouse is that its marking posts from weeks ago as unread.

That's only a temporary problem.

(Oh, yay - I got rid of that ugly avatar placeholder! 1x1 transparent GIFs come in handy sometimes...)
