You know this seems very wrong, but after listening to a bunch of senate hearings the only senators I can really respect and agree with are Rand Paul and Al Franken. I do not fully agree with them, but they seem to be practically the only two that are not blithering idiots and interested in doing their job. They also seem to be fairly opposed to each other...
I might be doing the other Senators a disservice, but I haven't noticed any others taking a consistent stand for civil liberties.
