Your OTHER skills

#48
(It occurs to me I've never added to this for my characters. Oops. Let's fix that.)

Emerald Blast: she was a fully qualified and experienced Army medic, what used to be called a combat medic before they went all PC with it, so
in addition to her array of healing abilities she can handle most any trauma situation that might come up. She's pretty much incapable of panic at this
point, though how much of that is due to training and how much is due to her blithe confidence that Mr. Whiskers will protect her no matter what is
questionable. She's an excellent shot with a handgun (marksman level), did a stint as a short-order cook for a while but isn't a chef, can operate
power tools without losing fingers, and has a *killer* black thumb. Don't let her near your garden. She has an intense desire to help people and will
throw herself into danger without hesitation if it means keeping someone else from getting hurt. Ever since she met the stuffed cat, she's been what could
best be described as rather pleasantly batty in a cheerful way. Medical specialists suspect psychosis or possible brain damage; she just responds with a
cheerful grin and ignores the detractors. (One could say she's much like Kasumi from Ranma 1/2, without quite so much Obliviousness.)

Alex Fury: Alex or AJ has, at 40, been around a while and seen it all. She began her career as a support staffer -- Logistics -- in merry old
England, and had a reputation for being almost precognitive in what would be needed most. She's not -- it's all keenly-developed instinct -- but her
uncanny knack for predicting things helped her rise to the top. She's a top-notch driver, and has won several amateur rally and street race competitions.
Her preferred everyday ride is a Alfa Romeo 156, but for special occasions she brings out Teddy, her
decidedly non-stock Lotus Europa. She's an unrepentant gearhead and performs all her own
maintenance, cheerfully puncuated with rude monosyllables in her upper-English accent. If it's part of a car, she can probably fix it. She has amazing
shorthand, notation, and filing skills, and could qualify as a notary public in the U.S. (though she has not bothered to actually do it yet).

William Bishop III: an unrepentant old coot who figures, hey, someone's got to show these kids a trick or two. He's a survivalist,
able to live off the land in pretty much any environment, and an excellent hunter with his bow. He used to be a master carpenter before retiring, and can
whittle some amazing things in his spare time. He isn't too interested in modern technology, preferring instead to rely on the tried-and-true methods he
grew up with -- he's probably one of relatively few in Paragon City who remembers what a slide rule is, much less how to use one. He's also not too
fond of magic, especially bright flashy displays thereof, and is somewhat uneasy around the plethora of short-skirted underage girls -- or of-age girls, for
that matter -- that traipse around town. "It ain't fitten'", as he would say. He's an accomplished juggler and can play the harmonica,
fiddle, and acoustic guitar. And recently, he's managed to acquire an Internet link and exchanges emails at the blazing speed of about 5 hunt-and-peck
words per minute.

Katy Kaboom: her tech-fu is best... and she's not afraid to use it! Katy is simply amazing, when it comes to technology. MacGyver would
stare at her in awe. She's a student at Atlas Park High, has not (yet?) twigged to the fact that she attends school with several of her Legendary
teammates, and is a *mean* volleyball player. She'd love to be on the school team, but takes her hero work too seriously and just can't commit to it.
She cannot cook, unless one counts zapping a microwave burrito or dialing City of Gyros as cooking. She's a proficient technical piano player, having
taken lessons since she was six, but prefers the flute, which she's much more emotional with, even though her technical skill is not as great. As befits a
technogeek, she's proficient with computers, video equipment, and so on. She's a skilled rollerblade enthusiast and often spends free time grinding
the rails at the high school or Atlas Park Plaza. Her family is wealthy, and, much as she hates it, her mother has forced her to learn the finer points of
etiquette, protocol, and social graces. She can dine with VIPs, dance with celebrities, and chat pleasantly with business leaders, but would prefer to be
chowing down on a greasy burger while cheering at the TV during an episode of Scrapheap
Challenge, given the choice.
